Q:
I am an existing OPIS customer, how will this affect my price feed?
A: The quality of the data will get even better,
as we will be merging the AXXIS prices into the OPIS price feed.
But nothing else will change - you will still get your price files
in the same format and at the same delivery time.
Q:
If I currently get an AXXIS price feed, will I have to now take
an OPIS price feed or an OPIS format?
A: No. OPIS will continue to make the AXXIS
price formats available for customers as long as they wish to receive
them.
Q: If I am an AXXIS customer and I don't get
my price file - who do I call?
A:
Call the AXXIS representative you normally call. The AXXIS St. Paul
staff is ready and waiting to assist you as always.
Q:
If I currently use AXXIS software, will I now have to deal with
OPIS customer service when I have a question or need?
A: No. All AXXIS employees - including their
customer service staff - have been retained. In addition, we will
cross train our OPIS customer service team so even more reps are
available for customers.
Q:
If I have a deal tied to an AXXIS price, can an OPIS price now satisfy
that bid?
A: No - not initially. There will be a transition
period where the AXXIS and OPIS prices will not match as we rework
and combine the databases. We will notify customers - including
the purchasing agents who establish the benchmarks for bidding -
when the prices have been integrated into one master database.
